Summary: William writes to Tom and Hal that he is feeling much better. It is warm and muggy in New Bedford, but the family is getting used to it. He plans to go into Boston for two days and then head west. He received a telegram from Mr. Partridge and is waiting for his letter. He has also heard that Duncan Lamb has been drafted.
