Summary: William writes to "Didda" that he has received two letters from Mother and discusses the fruits they have in New Bedford. He tells her of a trip to Boston with Uncle Dawes, where he hoped to see both Mr. Sanborn and Mr. Partridge but only saw the former. He had dinner with family and went to see Cousin Emily and her baby, who is "splendid". He mentions that Cousin Emily has trouble servants.
